Default throw out bearing: really need to replace?

so, after my clutch install, there's a slight scraping noise while driving, but dissapears when clutch is engaged. I'm thinkin either Input shaft bearing or throwout bearing. Since it never, EVER did this before i changed the clutch, i am assuming it's the throwout bearing. I'm a lazy sack of ---- though, and really dont wanna have to take that ---- appart again. What happens if i just say ---- it and leave it as is? the Input shaft bearing will shred the whole ------- tranny, but what does the throwout do?

I have two transmissions, a zc and an si and both of them make the sound your talking about. I drove on the si for about 5 months and pulled it out, it still worked good. The zc is currently in my car and it runs good. I was told that alot of honda transmissions make this noise.
Did you change the bearings when your replaced your clutch?

somtimes the main ball bearings make the same noise but its when the clutch is engaged, when the pedal is to the floor it goes away. If its the opposite, where the when you disengage the clutch and put the pedal to the floor and it makes the noise its the throwout bearing... you should replace it with each cluch, for like $20-$30 replace it and dont worry about it

How hard is it to replace the main ball bearings? Mine makes a scraping noise when in gear. when I push in the clutch it goes away. After I get my car turbo'd I wanna fix my si tranny and put it in with a good clutch.

Mine makes the same noise, only i was a lazy sack o' ---- when i put my new motor in and forgot to take off the bent up trans shield. So now mine scrapes the flywheel a little, but i still don't feel like pulling it off
