I got a jdm d15 vtec motor and i'm going to bore the intake mani to a 65mm and i got a ls throttle body from a friend, but i wanted to know can the tb could be bored to 65mm also? Or should i hunt for a integra type r tb? I also heard a mustang tb would be able to fit. Which direction could i take for the best results.

Yes i did a search but came up empty. I wanted to keep this at a budget. Thanks for any help.

Ya but some places are asking close to $300 just for a tb. That's to much for a tb and the hp is not worth the $.

Ive got a 64mm JG A6 t/b, picked it up in a deal but it was cheap

Probably would have worked out to about $70

 

if its MEANT for an a6 intake manifold it wont fit onto a 92+ manifold (jdm, d15b vtec is 92+)

 

also you cant bore the a6 throttle body to 64 mm. The plate size can only go to 60 mm. The tb can be bored to 64 mm tb. I do throttle body boring if intrested pm me

I got the I.M. bored to 63mm, so i'm gonna keep the ls t/b stock b/c it's 60mm. But i might consider boring the t/b in a few weeks.
