I have raped my little 84 crx. It started life as a rusty car that a very cool guy owned sence new. He bought it in CA back in 84 and then brought it up to MN in the mid 90s. He preformed a mid life resto, new shocks, rebuilt the motor, put some pretty trick ---- on it. Then I got it for 300 bucks. It got a weekend cage, and raced hard for now 3 years. It is 1834 pounds with my fat 190 pound *** in there. When I go racing I laugh because people spend a ton of money trying to keep up to this 24 year old car. It is way too easy to drive. And as you guys know it's easy to make power with a honda motor.
This was my first honda and will be my last, but god damn what a great little car.

PS first race is next weekend.

I have the Art Morrison cage in my EG hatch. It's a 6 point and wi want that bad to install. CAme with welding plates for the floor board and bottom plates for the bolts to go through. But if you daily drive it does get to be a pain in the *** to craw over the door guards. I welded everything and even bolted them down. The cage does like to vibrate and I put mine right up to the roof line with the overhead hoop and thats what vibrates. If your skilled I suggest putting ice on the roof and tack along the metal structure that the head liner mounts to. It's thin but only 4 tacks should reduce the vibration. Cage costed $650 shipped. And the chrome molly isnt worth the extra 300 get the steel.
