tensioner bolt hole stripped...what can be done? Help?
you have to tap out the stripped hole to a larger size.
some kits come with a tap and those are expensive.
if you have a tap already, then you just need the inserts.
The other option is to weld the hole, drill and tap the correct size. the problem is getting in the exact location as stock.

fill the hole with JB weld, wax the bolt and stick it in. when it dries you are set. just another option. personally i would do the heli-coil

?? cant i just buy the insert and use just a needle head plier to insert it in? i know the plastic tool isnt worth $60.
