The fact that you came to this site, read some obscure posts, then registered to post about how much you don't care is counter intuitive(if you do care then stop), but now that your registered check out what other people are saying about each other's builds.

okay okay. the reason i posted was due to the fact that a member of this board sent me a message on the board i frequent. so i thought i would educate those who posted on my project and the reasons behind it. besides who doesn't get a little defensive...

i always like to learn about other people's builds. it's like AutoCAD there are a freakin million ways to get one thing done, it's neat to see how we achieve that especially with the Honda engine.

I don't see why you guys hated so much? I read up as much as a i could on this setup, and well i dunno.

lets see...

-PM7(p29) pistons and rods, can be had for damn cheap, get them at the the junker for 30 bucks if you wanted, everyday of the week.

-y8 head. about 150 on ebay, maybe more

-plus vtec activation relay, that ----, maybe 30 bucks

So if your rebuilding your d16a6, and you want more power, add about 220 dollars and you get 148 WHP 125ft/lbs.

No lets say you add a header, TB, FPR, good exhaust, a well matched cam, alittle porting, custom intake manifold, and alittle tunning via TE style, thats quite alot of power N/A, and I bet thats for about the same price as building a decent HMT kit.

I think I'm gona use this setup in our austin mini, since we were gona just stick in a a6 with carbs.

all above mentioned(minus the intake manifold and TB) and I'd say about 200 WHP N/A tuned with carburators.


Now if it's all bullshit about the dyno graphs and power output and what mods she has, then ---- me, But I believe it, why not.

 

Guess its just impossible to believe the POS Sohc 1.6L could make simular power to the "ALMIGHTY" Dohc 1.6L.

benz 5.4L Sohc Supercharged V8 = 469hp
Ford 5.4L Sohc Supercharged V8 = 385hp

Is it really that hard to believe that 2 1.6L engines could be within 10hp of each other since one is Sohc and one is Dohc.

Odd how the Dohc guys are all in "disbelief", yet most the Sohc guys are tending to believe its possible.

to the chitown brat. not even regular mini-me's put out 135 whp. its more like 130 crank hp. i think thats pretty reasonable for a sohc. and its funny because a 400 hp turbo car would be just as fast as a 200 hp all motor car.
