Re:Tach Hookup
installing tachs on 88-91 civics/crxs is some of the easiest ---- in the world, installing tachs on other cars sucks.
green wire: take off your gauge cluster cover. look at the wires that go into the back of the gauge cluster, if you're sitting in the driver's seat and looking at it, the plug to the left will have a solid blue wire, that's the one you splice into for your green wire.
black wire: ground, just ground it somewhere, on the wall next to the pedal area there's already a grounding bolt with a wire going to it, just loosen the bolt and stack the tach ground on top of the wire that's already there then tighten the bolt
red wire: take off your fuse cover, there should be some little male spade connectors above the fuses with numbers next to them, just hook up the female spade connector from your red wire (if it has one, if not just go buy one) to one of those male spade connectors, I think I'm running mine off of #1 or #3
white wire: I'm not exactly sure how it is on the 90+ gauge clusters, but wherever the adjuster thing is for the brightness of your gauge lights is pull that thing out. there should be 3 wires coming out. I don't remember if it's the left or the right you use, but only one will work, so just ground the tach, strip a little off one of the wires and hold the white wire to it with your lights on, make sure that the light adjuster is plugged in, and if both your tach and the gauge lights come on you found the right wire, if only one or the other comes on you found the wrong wire and the good news is there's only one wire left to try.
once you're done I hope you routed all your wires the way you wanted to or else you get to disconnect everything so you can run your wires right.

Re:Tach Hookup
white is a 12v power sourse, back: ground, red power, green is to the blue wire on you distributor, there are two plugs one has 7 the other has 2 wires on them. the blue wire you want is on the plug with 2 wires. very simple takes about 10 minutes.

Re:Tach Hookup
ok ---- hooking it up to the dash and outside the dizzy..
hookup the green wire to the neg side of the coil. it will give you THE BEST tach reading that you can get.
as far as the red/white i hooked them both up to the cig lighter becuase it comes on with accessories and i dont need to go up under the dash.
