Swapping gears for mpg (question)
I plan on running a B16 trans on my daily, but because of the 4.4 final drive, it's not too good on the highway. I know it's possible to swap gears out of a ls trans, so you can have a long fifth gear. Can anyone tell me what all is needed to make this work? Both of my trans are small shaft, 1 gen's. Thanks guys.

Yeah, I was worrying about that. When I was running my all-motor setup, in my Rex, I was going through the traps over 8 grand in fourth. I don't plan to drag this car as much as my last though, so I'll give up a little time in the quarter, for better driveability.

I won't, that's only to tell if it's 90-91 or 92+. I'm asking how to tell what gears would be in it. If I want to put an ls 5th in my b16 and if they both need to be 90-91 then obviously they'll both have the small shaft.
