Well i have an offer to get a OBD 0 dohc ZC for dirty cheap, for helping a guy out with his car.... a few questions

the patient car: 92 civic 4 door, obd1 of course, 5 speed etc.

the motor: obd 0, DOHC ZC

the question:

to do this swap, what mounts will i need to use? the stock ones?, what am i going to do for wiring? can i swap my stock d15 intake manifold onto this motor, and swap my stock dizzy on and run it like that? if not, what would i need to do?

Stock mounts. D15 intake mani wont work. Dizzy you will need obd1 zc one. wiring, nothing, it the same. O wait is it a dohc zc, sohc zc, or zc vtec?

 

like mentioned... its a obd0 DOHC ZC... non vtec

can i just use the stock OBD 0 distributor that is on the motor and make a conversion harness to plug the obd0 dizzy into my obd1 harness? like this http://www.d-series.org/forums//showthread.php?t=57665

 

yea but then you gotta use a odb0 ecu and buy a convertion harness to go to odb0.


all of this is going to cost you the same no matter how you go at it but if your smart you will just stay odb1 and buy a odb1 dizzy

 

YUP! Stay obd1 and buy a obd1 dohc zc dizzy! But if you do...you won't need that crank sensor...or whatever that thing was on the exh cam. Throw a cam seal there! GL to you!

 

get the obd1 dizzy and call it a day. Trust me the obd1 is way better in the long run.
