The pistons are forged from a 1GGTE not available in the states.
Turbopanda can get them cuz he's in thailand.

have you guys forgotten somethin??FRANK IS GOING TO JAPAN....therefore he could probably get them for us low budget ********...

so the B series rods with the Supra pistons..what do you have to do to the rods to make them fit? do you have to rebush them like when you do the LS rod deal? do you just slap the pistons on and thats it?

this sounds too good to be true...but then again its pretty cool!

You have to notch your block since the b16 rods are thicker But besides that it's just a swap and you can use b16 rod bearing or d16 and both work. No machine work on the rods like a LS rod swap. Just the hard part is getting the pistons.

Not enough research going on here.
I was interested in using these a couple years back but I kept my notes;
Your compression is gonna be very very low, like 7-8 all depending on what engine you are using. Find out the piston dish,ect and use a compression calculator to find out for your engine.
There is some machine work involved, the top of the rod is machined, the bottom is left alone.
The block does need to be notched!
Turbopanda was using pistons from a toyota 1g-gte, which never made it near north america.

P.S. I'm using Vitara pistons in my setup, which are cast, not forged like FJT stated in that thread...
oh no you're using vitaras? hmm now I kinda wonder how my car would hold up against yours. those things lower comp way too much.
