ok early this morning my car was working fine... UNTILL i was about to leave to go out at night... i hear a squeaky coming from my motor.. but left it alone and went driving...then 10mins later i pulled over onto the side and my car just dies out ...and it flashing code 4 and 8.. where is the Crankshaft Position Sensor and TDC Sensor located anyone...i have a b18b in my crxhf.. when i come to a stop it just dies...help me

 

The sensor is located in the distro and it is possable that you blew your ignitor.

 

how do i check my ingitor? i dont know what that looks like :P... im going to try and get new cap and rotors tomarrow to see what happens

 

the ignotor is the sensor that has 4 connectors attached to it next to the coil.

If i were you, i would test the igniter and/or coil before replacing them.

I bet the sensors you originally mentioned are bad. If thats the case (which I think it is), then you need to get a new distributor or distributor subassembly (whole distributor brand new from honda minus coil/igniter). Get the subassembly from www.manhonda.com (call them up)

thanks man..i resested my ecu and no codes... i drove around for 30 mins and still no codes..but still making squeeky noise... does that mean i need a new dizzy?
