air/fuel gauge sucks....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
okay, i put the air fuel guage on and the damn thing fluctuates consistantly, i have the b16a2 and there are two O2 sensors, does it matter which one i put it on? and does it go on the white wire?

That is how it reads the a/f ratio. The copmputer is constantly changing it. Yes it hooks to the white wire. I'm not sure if it matters which 02 you hook it to. I would think the first one would be the better choice.

the guage isnt a very reliable source for measuring A/F...that said you want it connected to the first Oxygen sensor, im not sure what wire on a honda...its going to be fluctuating constantly while in open loop mode, this is where the ECU is running on what info the O2 sensor is telling it, now when you are in closed loop (full throttle), it should only light up a few LED bars constantly, hopefully in the rich area. remember this is only an approximation of your A/F, you need a wideband sensor to accurately measure it.

its not really inexpensive but you can build a wideband kit and get a sensor for around 200$ is what i have in mine... http://www.diy-wb.com
an EGT gauge is better than a A/F gauge, but you need to have a good tune before relying on the EGT, that way you have a baseline established and know kind of around what A/F you got going on

Re:air/fuel gauge sucks....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
because the EGT is measuring the temp of whats going on in the cylinders, it is a direct reference. but you got to have a good dyno tune to use the EGT as a reference. peak temp occurs at stoich point, and temp falls off when the A/F is richer or leaner. you need that dyno tune to establish what side of stoich your engine is operating on. having both EGT and A/F is probably the best compromise in place of a wideband O2
