Default Starter Problem WTF??

I finally got my ls/vtec together in my eg hatch. However, When I go to crank the engine, nothing happens. I checked the wire from the fusebox to the starter, Getting 12volts. Checked the single wire with the spade connector, It gets 12 volts when the key is in the "crank" position. Today I took the starter to Parts America, they tested it and it was fine. Any Ideas??

12V doesnt matter is u cant pull current. check for your 12v's on the trigger and the power wire and make sure your engine is grounded(booster cable from batt to starter) and see if it works

Brand new battery, I cleaned all of the ground connection points with an angle grinder, I even doubled up the ground strap that goes from the chassis to the trans. I was thinking maybe i'll take the starter out of the trans and hook it up, just to see maybe if the load of turning the engine is too much for the starter. Crappy thing is that i moved onto bleeding the clutch and the clutch slave took a ----.. The plunger broke through the boot and jammed itself between the throwout bearing fork thing and the trans. I had to cut the ****** out with a cutoff wheel!

It might be diff for u but once i put a bolt to long in the tranny mount and it hit the fly wheel and stoped it from turning

and if chassis to trans is good what about batt to chasis?

Batt. to chassis was also cleaned and inspected. So I took the old civic starter and hooked it up to the current harness, and when the key was turned it spun. So now I have it narrowed down to a bad starter (even though it tested ok at parts store) or the ground is still bad. I'm pretty sure i checked the ground w/a multimeter and there was no resistance between the starter housing and the neg. battery lead.

Also, I'm pretty sure I have the right bolts in there. there is a short bolt on the side towards the front of the car and a pretty long one on the firewall side. Can anyone verify this?? Thats one thing I don't like about the honda manual, it gives the size of the bolt for each location but doesn't give the length, so theres no way to check.

1)try a different battery
2)try to hard wire the starter to by pass the neutral safty (hardwire it at the starter)

BTW long bolt bolts to throuth the tranny into the block, short one bolt it to the tranny only. the bolt is like 2 inches long
