sprung vs. unsprung
I am trying to deside wheather to get an unsprung or sprung disc. I would like to get the unsprung because they are lighter and cheaper but I don't know how harsh they would be for a daily driver. Do any of you have unsprung clutchs? What do you think?

Re:sprung vs. unsprung
What is the price difference? I've had an unsprung disc in my talon. I have a sprung in my civic. I would get sprung if there wasn't a big price difference. I really didn't have a big problem with the unsprung, but I prefer the smoother engagement of sprung.

The difference isn't much like $20-25 but, alot for a poor man.

puck style clutches suck if you have daily drive in traffic. If you live in a major city and drive it everyday I would go with a full face disc.

I asked this very question several months ago. the weight isssue is nothing to be concerned with. major difference is that the sprung disc will engage smoother and with an unsprung there isn't an "inbetween" of when it is engaged or not engaged...either it is...or it isn't. it grabs a lot quicker. a few people on here that have the unsprung that are running higher boost willt ell you that while it is a bitch to drive soemtimes, it is worth it just knowing that when you go to rape it with 17psi of boost it is going to hold 100%. |

i have also heard that the springs like to pop out. harsher engagement also might be harder on ur tranny.but if u put a turbo on ur car, being hard on stuff just comes with the territory :P
