So what is the breaking point for tha A6?
OK so here is what I was running
D16a6
Rhb5 from an xt
Hf with a adapter plate.
intercooled with a jrc 6" fmic
Cartec rising rate fmu
340cc injectors running 20psi at idle, little rich not 2 bad
---- *** fpr from egay
Bosch Bov
Was running 8psi
That motor is now done! Its fucked. Drinks water like its going out of style. Think I blew another head gasket.(2nd one.) So ive got another A6 sitting on a stand. I was thinking about running some z6 pistons to lower my comp to 8.7 after having my head and block milled. and then bump the boost to about 10 to 12 psi. I was gona buy Some TT rods, A re-ring kit from ipp $200 And have all of it balanced about $200. And by then I will have to upgrade my clutch. And then have it tuned on a dyno. But When Do the Z6 Pistons Explode. And this will be my daily driver 90 crx. Im doing this on a tight buget. About $800 If anyone has any sugestions or ideas LMK.

he has an fmu. People have been using them for years and most pre made kits come with them. they work regardless of what people say the problem is there is nothing in the set up that actually takes timing out.

then pull out your pistons and see if your ringlands are intact. If they are get new rings for em. and thow them back in your block once you get it and your head honed. I have no clue what a $200 ipp re-ring kit is but I can find a hasings rings locally for about $26

www.ImportPerformanceParts.Net They seem to have pretty good deals on rebuild kits. I dont know it they are worth it but it dosent seem like a bad price. All I want to know is what is the week link in all this? Im only taking it to about 6000 rpms. Due to the fact that It is not a forged piston and at 14 psi, one little ping and then BOOM!!!!
