So i got this b16a2 from a junkyard (need help first engine) with pics!
hello everybody.
2ND tread
so i just came back from the junkyard with this b16a2.
i dont know its condition so im gonna overhaule it. (not my self/in a shop)
this is my first engine that i buy so be delicat with me
please take a look in the picturs and tell me what are the components that are missing on this engine.
here is a list of the things that i know thats missing:
-DIZZY
-alternator
-throttle cable
-full engine wiring (the idiots just cut the wiring )
-engine pully.
now its your turn.... tell me if you see anything missing.

p.s.
a day after i got the engine the guy from the junk yard called me and said he found the flywheel and the cluch... so i went over to take it....
are these any good?? is it of a b16?

bps id broken but still has its legs so i can try to fix it..... is it poosible to to replace a tps? by looking of it i dond see any screws there... it has somthing like pins.

they look like rivets but they are not they are little screws with no head. the only way i know of getting these off is to take a small screwdriver and very gradualy tap on it counterclockwise and they will come out then put new one on and make sure it is set right, after instal.

lucky bitch how the hell did you find a b16 at the junk. the good motors are pulled before they even put them in the yard at the junk yards around here. :P good find!

the clutch is ----, your going ot need a new kit.
after looking at the pics....your going to need atleast another 2-350 to even get the motor to run. then you need modify your harness to operate that motor....
what kinda car is this going in?

Nice find. I found a OBD0 b16 in a 4dr Teg once. Was broke, but came back 1 day latter with my credit card and the bastards sold it for 500 with tranny CANADIAN.
Dumb junk yard up here. b17 have gone for 400 before. I'm just alway too late for the good deals.
