Default shift linkage

Can you just use a regular punch to knock out the spring pin in the shift linkage ?

I have an allen key I always use. I always just pull it out with it on and when the motor is out is when I punch it out

you can use an exhaust bolt also the one that takes the spring. 8mm hole then how the hell do I use 12mm bolts? that size keeps the side to side play down

A bolt would be sloppy and loose, spring pin is nice and tight.

I alwayse use a small bolt as well for that Bitch-Clip. Punch's just expand the clip and make it more harder to get out
