Default Searched...want to clairify: swapping in d16z6

sorry guys, want to clairify.
i'm swappin out my d15b7, for a d16z6...am i correct when i say that all i'd need for the swap is the motor and ecu?

It depends on what exactly you are swapping. If you are just swapping the block you don't need anything. If you are swapping the longblock you will need an ecu that will engage VTEC. You will also need to run some wires for the VTEC depending on what model and year car you have.

well, i'm swapping the complete engine, keeping the dx tranny for now...92 civic hatchback is what i have, any VTEC wires?

I believe it was the 92 CX or VX that has them.

VX has VTEC-E so probably VTEC already has the wires set up for the ECU...
i have a Canadian CX which is a DX...d15b7 16 valve...*****.
