sounds like the tps is the problem, very odd for sure but if its out of voltage it should throw a code the tps code is picky

It runs. TPS I think was grounding out. Re-ran the TPS output and it runs fine. I tossed the 190cc back in it, cleaned up the wire and away it runs on the p2e ECU.

I had to get it tonight. Still running it back to Canauckhatch as he called me at work and my POS winter beater Accord wont start. He was stranded at work!!


There is one problem though: CEL #3: MAP Circut Input Voltage Low

Anyone know what it means and how to fix it. We lengthend the wires for the MAP sensor, so I thought it could be like the TPS problem again, but no. Re-wiring brings me back to a non-starting car.

well obviously check the integrity of the extensions and make sure the wires aren't fucked. You can check the map with a hand operated vacuum pump; or just throw a hose on it and start sucking. You can measure the resistance of it, or the voltage through it. Best thing to do is to get a vacuum pump, and plot out the voltage vs. vacuum. So basically backprobe the signal reference wire, and the ground wire. Then apply 5" of vacuum, then 10 etc. Plot both on a graph, and the line should be straight.

the car should be able to run without the map, although it'll run like hammered ----.

check your wiring on code 3 map sensors almost never go bad but I have replaced 2 before

Ya, I have 4.98 Volts at the sensor, Not to sure the output, but as I siad when I cut the wire from the sensor output and run a wire straight from the sensor to the ECU the car doesn't even run.

Tomorrow I'm going to toss on an External Firewall Style MAP that I have about 50 lying around and see what that says.

hvae you checked the connections @ the ecu? maybe all this swapping ECU's and conversion harnesses loosened the MAP wire?
