Default It RUNS!!! But I got a CEL.

Might weekend has been a living hell! Here the Story and Question:

Friend came down to get a y8 put inot his 99 Hatch.

Saturday we put it in, tossed a Xenocron Conv Harness on it, A chip and a Converted p06 and 450 with resistor box, Start the motor and it's wont run, cranks, sputters like it wants to start, but not solid hits.

So We put stock injectors y8 back in, recurved for 240cc, same deal.

Next we put the p2e ecu back in, crank and it start the dies within seconds.

So I got pissed pull almost an alnighter, put the y7 back in crank and we still have nothing. All the same simptoms. Starts, idles for a sec or so at 1500rpm, the flat lines. if you give it gas it dies faster.

Tonight I re-wired the injectors straight from the ECU, nothing, Tossed 240cc OBD1 Injectors in, Idles for a sec then dies. Try a known good OBD1 ECU and disabled the IACV, and get nothing.

WHAT COULD THIS BE? The guy is driving my car this week as he live about 45min away and this thing is stil in my shop.

CLiff Notes: Car starts, idles for a sec or so then Dies. I'm pulling my hair out and want this damn thing to run.

Is the Y8 from a stick or auto? If a stick did you convert to a 2 wire IAC on the harness>?

Well, it was y7, was a stick, use the same tranny and all. He didn't get the 2 wire iacv so I disabled it in Crome which I have been sucessful with before.

But that doesn't matter. I don't care at this point if the y8 runs. The y7 is in there, stock ECU had stock injectors in and it doesn't run.

It's like as soon as it start and begins to idle, someone turnis the key off. Exacty like that.
