Default Running rich? soot on bumper, loss of power

my car gas recently been feeling a little sluggish and I noticed some black soot next to where the exhust comes out of my bumper
it has also been smelling like gasoline/heavier exhaust after I do a heavy ripper, it didnt do this before
I suspect the car is running rich for some reason, is there any way to lean it out slightly, or diagnose further without a WB

map reading boost regardless of whether you're boosted, possibly

I'd be running in slowmo if that were the case, and most of the issue tends to be richness while IN boost, but thanks for guessing... any other ideas niggs?

check your plugs, and the 02 sensor. If it starts getting gunked up from soot, then it will have no hope in sensing oxygen and can do some crazy things

my plugs are oily but the bands are in the proper place halfway up... the car is boosted and has no oxygen sensor.

because its mapped via xenocron, doesn't need o2, reads entirely off of map sensor
