no, I think the renesis motor is still a 2 rotor. That Rx8 is the ugliest and most underpowered discrace to the RX name. The car is so pathetic it had to be recalled becuase they lied about how much power it actually made. They should get rid of that and do better with the RX-9. Somebody needs to put an end to this 4-door family/sports car trend.

well wrx's and lancers more than make up for it. also dont rotary engines burn fuel? also, i was wondering since there isnt many internal mods you can do for it, how do you get enough ppower?? like 300 hp from a turbo rotary? just up the boost?

All engines burn fuel, I think you meant oil. Yeah they do burn oil becuase you have ot inject oil into the combustion chamber becuase both sides of the apex seals are exposed to the combustion process.

There is a shitload of modifications you can do to a rotary. The only way to get more power out of them is to do porting. Since all the power comes from the ports, porting the sidehousings is where you make power. Bridgeporting, street porting and porting the rotors is where you'll make insane power but the motor will only last about 10-30,000 miles before the apex seals need to be replaced

the Rotary can make so much power becuase the combustion is pushing the rotar in a circle instead of straight down like a piston. however there are limits due to the centrifical force caused by rotating mass and the properties of the metal itself
