Not saying what the guy did was right but a 400 dollar h22 what do you expect. If it was a business sure random dude he should be happy the head is good and it even started even with trashed bearings
Im also not a fan of turning cranks has in reality you can find a used crankshaft for cheaper than the machine work from someone like myself who has 2 of everything like Noah.

i dont know why anyone would say not to. stock cranks have no problems taking all of the HP thrown at them. the tiny bit of material you take off to make it smooth isnt going to weaken it any

holy ---- that sux. Those bearing definately took a beating. At least the block is still good.
Why dont you just see if you can find some h23 pistons/rods and keep the compression down a little. just my opinion. That way you can just put it together without having to change the rods.
Those piston skirts do look a bit fucked...
