Relentless Blown Headgasket
So has anyone had problems keep blowing headgasket. Mine seems to keep doing it and I am getting tired of it. The last time I did it I put a new headgasket on and milled the head. I didn't deck the block. Problem? Before that I just put a new one on there and it fixed it then. Will ARP headstuds fix or is ther some magical thing that makes it work?

Re: Relentless Blown Headgasket
are you following proper torque spec and sequence?
are the bolts new or atleast cleaned (with a wire wheel or brush)?
did you run a tap or a chaser down the head bolt holes to clean them up?
is there any foreign matter (coolant/oil/dirt) in the head bolt holes?
did you lube the threads on the head bolts before assemble?
is the head and block surface 100% clean from old gsket material and everything else?
if any is not right, you are probably torquing the head improperly, either over or under, which both is bad. try to do it properly, and I bet you wont have a problem. If you blow another one, machine the head and block surface, and tne there is no way in hell you should be blowing gaskets, unless you are buying the 99 cent ebay special coffee filter head gaskets. Do it once, do it right.

I know for sure everything is done right except for decking the block. I think that is my problem. And jus I am not one of those dumbasses who didn't clean the surface or torque improperly. I did it to factoy specs.
