really bad idle (connected the wideband to find out some more)
hi,
I have a problem with my 1990 crx 1.6i dohc (edm). It runs pretty good, but when its warmed up...it has a really weird idle. I can't find the problem. So i connected the zeitronix to find out some more.
Connected TPS, AFR, RPM. The problem is....it goes up to about 1600 rpm, than it goes back to 1000-800 rpm. on and on....it shows 5% Tps, going to 7-8 and down to 2. on and on. what can be the problem ? Can't find it....anybody
If you want to see the full data from the zeitronix (so you can see al readings)..i can mail it to you..just need a little sofware..free on zeitronix.

Re: really bad idle (connected the wideband to find out some more)
alot of times those problems are from.....
-IACV being dirty
-TPS needing adjusted
-on the d-series there is a little tube bolted on under the TB, that once you take off the cover you can use a screw driver to tighten down the odd mechanism in the inside, sometimes fixing your idle....
hope it helps a little( in my opinion, it's probably your IACV or TPS)
