quick vacuum manifold question

quick vacuum manifold question
im going to be making a vacuum manifold to try and sort out my lines.
i was just wondering if it would be ok to run two small vacuum lines to either end of the tube instead of one large line to one side of the tube?
because all my large vacuum ports are sealed.
so would be like so
from intake-------------{=========}-----------------from intake
V V V V
to accesories
rather than like this
from intake ======={=======}
V V V V
to accesories

Re: quick vacuum manifold question
As long as the small lines are big enough to flow enough air, which I would say they would be even if they are smaller, you should be fine. Have a vacume gauge? do a test with the big hose hooked up to the IM then same length small hose hooked up. The only difference will be the pressure drop because the smaller cross sectional area of the hose.
