Default Quick fuel question...

I just bought a 94 Volvo 850 turbo. It looks great but it has fuel issues. It'll only start if you bang on the gas tank and then it dies about a block later. When it is running it runs well.

The guy suggested it was the fuel pump but I get the feeling it might be some ---- in the tank.... what do you guys think?

if the pump was going out would it do that? I'll be taking a closer look at it I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it to buy a pump and try to drive it home or just slap the bitch up on a trailer.

trailer it now or trailer it later + pay for parts to attempt to fix it, its cheaper to trailer it now.
