Default probally a stupid question

ok im getting ready to buy a b series for my 90 dx but im not too sure what type of tranny it has. Again im currently not anywhere near my civic or the United States for that matter! all i remember is that there are two resivors for dot3. one for the brakes and another for the clutch. now is the clutch cable with hydro assist or just hydro all the way? its a 5 speed too if that helps. remember i cant look at anything on the car, nor can anyone else.(its in dry storage)
thanks laterx!

-EDIT: Lighten UP -mike

-You have a 90 DX, it has a cable tranny, get another cable tranny with ur B16. usally the cheaper B16 swap. Also you know your gonna need some new engine mounts and shift linkage. also, get some new axles. From the way you posted, I would do some serious research, and read alot of books, and ---- like that. Dont worry about it man, we all started here. You asked if your linkage was a cable/hydro, its all cable. Check out other forums such as www.honda-tech.com or www.honda-acura.net there is lots and lots of info to soak up.
-What is your goals with the engine? You just want a fast car, or just a B16, or what......a turbo D series will smoke a B series if done right, and usally about the same money. Im asumming you wanna go turbo since your on HMT.com

-also where are you at? military?
----welcome to homemade turbo!

That car came w/ a Cable operated clutch system. But if you said there is a clutch resevoir then I would just wait til u can see your car. Chances are it is probably a cable tranny and you are just remembering incorrectly. But again, it's not impossible to swap to a hydro tranny.

as far as I know the civics pre 1992 don't have hydro trany's. It might be for brakes and power steering, but I don't think they came with PS either. You could run a hydro trany on a cable trany car, but you have to buy the coverversion kit from HaSport. Hope this helps. 98ctr
