Powersteering idea

so what if it reduces the response time? I'm looking for assisted steering, not power steering. What i want is a dampening affect that will help stop potholes from steering my car and ripping the wheel out of my hand, while at the same time not feeling like i'm driving a buick. I think the answer lies in the pressure regulator with the spring... stay tuned i may tackle it later on in the week.

nothing beats my 4x4 yoda with mudders and manual steering.

the fun part? no stabilizer shock..

ok congratulations, buy my stepfather's ac cobra kit car with 500hp, and with no power ANYTHING would own it. Now if anyone has anything useful to say, please speak now.

Just get a Non-Power steering rack. It is setup woth the pinion ratio to be easier then a Power Rack with no pressure.

yeah i had thought about that too, my problem with that is that to make it easeier to turn, they make the ratio higher. I'm not sure of what exatly it is, but i think that for an EK civic it's somewhere around 19:1 vs 17:1 for powersteering. Hell i wish i had a lower ratio as it is.

Just underdrive the pump. There is no reason to overcomplicate it.

underdrive pulleys=money
modifying springs and ----=free
