Ok because i have a d15b2 head and a d16a6 head and the a6 head need to be decked.
I am buying springs and retainers anyways so im just gonna use the d15b2 head.
So technically a d15b2 head out flows a z6 head
Thanks chris

Re: powerband

ok well
I have head marked pm3-10
which i think is a a6 head.

JD said that a a6 head flows more then a z6 just the z6 has a more aggressive high cam profile.
Im at a cross road
I have a z6 head
I have a a6 head (Useing cam for regrind in d15b2 head with new valves springs and retainers)

Im thinking of staying non v tec and going with a delta regrind 272 VS using the z6 head with d15b cam
Now this is going on my vitara build
IM very indecisive ???
Which=more powa

Re: powerband

they will be in boosted from basically the same

choose what you have

I have flow charts of both and no Im not posting them on the net I stopped giving away all my info awhile ago

d series heads flow crap to begin with so you need forced air to make the car worth a damn

Re: powerband

so from my understanding it really doesnt matter what head i were to use. it would depend on weather or not i want vtec or not. buuuuuut, when it comes to rev ranges, which head has the highest on stock valve terrain? an a6 can go to 9k, but what can a z6 go to? 8k?

so a personal opinion from you would be to use an a6 head then, forget vtec, and take my chances with the high rpm power band? mind you this will be going on a y7 block with vitaras and eagles, possibly filled as well. but regardless an a6 is better then any vtec head when it comes to rpm range as i see it from your view point.

Re: powerband

your not going to make power up top

port work extensive
large cam
large plenum
large tb

causes rpm shift

hmt is nothing about this

your d will stop making power at 7500. Use the head that you have
