post zc swap noises
i am hearing a hum under the hood after the car warms up. i think it is a transmission. it grinds. crappy worn out si gearbox. seals leak as well could it be low oil?. i ordered a zc tranny so i have a backup. can a usdm 1st gen teg intermediate shaft bolt up to the zc. i heard there is only one bolt that lines up and you have to drill out the other two... what do i do?
also zc is not enough power. how much boost can they handle? . i want low 14's high 13's

The 88-89 Ishaft shouldnt even work on the L3 series ZC tranny. Who told you just drill it out? The shaft should be a different size. I am in despirate search myself for a ZC intermedate shaft, I cant find one anywhere.
How much boost they can handle depends on what type of engine management you have..
They are good for mid 13's running 10psi, if not faster.
But you need good traction, and some good engine management.
