i was just asking ive never done it before. i wasnt sure if there was a possibility of damaging it. kinda like how you you are supposed to use a ring expander when installing pistons rather then walking then just putting it on by hand. i guess it doesnt matter though..

also when you check ring end gap, do you only have to do it for the first and second ring? or do you do it for the 3 oil rings too?

 

^Do you have specs for the oil control rings? If you do, follow them. If you dont, what are you measuring for?
