Default P28 Error COdes

Ok I have a 94 EX D16Z6 with P28 ECM, now i was wondering how the hell do you check if there is an error. I know that in older 89-91 civics the ECM had a little blinking lite and you would tell by the number of blinks it showed, I did notice that when i turn the key on to start the car I hear 6 solid beeps before the CEL turns off.

Is that how you check it if so what does 6 beeps mean,

any info or links would be appreciated

I have never heard of these beeps?

To check a cel you need to jump the two wire connector above the ecu and turn the ignition on. Watch the cel(check engine light) and count the blinks.
