oil pressure sensor question...
ok so i took my oil pressure sensor out to split it for my oil line to my turbo....and when i took it out...there wasent on little drop of oil on it at all it was dry as a popcorn fart....and i noticed...befor that i took it out my oil light would flash on and off sometimes....i cant figure out what it could be ..i was thinkin maybe my oil pump was shot or something....i have a dohc zc...i put a d16a1 head gasket on it recently....i checked a couple of times...and it didnt look like i was blocking any passages....so i cant figure it out....
Check the oil pressure. Go out and buy a oil pressure gauge. I have the d16a1 engine and i get like 30 to 40 on idle. Engine is rebuilt completely new water and oil pump, 76mm vitara pistons, eagle rods ported and polished. Don't put that sensor back use a t fitting on the block and put the turbo feed line and a oil pressure gauge.
If you have a gauge and a turbo, Get two different Ts one with 3 female ports and on with 2 female 1 male, screw them together with Teflon tape, and the screw in you oil pressure gauge, turbo feed, and oil pressure sensor. Don't screw all this ---- into the block though run a barb off the block up to the Ts. If you put them into the block, the vibration could snap them off.
