Get it ported by Chris the mod, at the same time get one of his tb.

For people wanting miracles with adding a manifold alone its not going to happen. A large reason why aftermarket manifold make more power is larger inlet sizes

Now if you slap a 55mm throttle body yes plate size of a d16z6 onto lets say a edelbrock unit which is a great item your gains will proably be well no gains

The throttle body is half the battle and is needed with manifold changes hands down. Why have a bad *** manifold with a poor performing small stock oem tb.

Simple answer you want power gains from manifold changes

-oem ported unit, not 30 minutes with a dremel

or

edelbrock is the only sohc unit out there worth a damn. I have already proven my spacer plate/ported z6 manifold/throtte body set up to own the skunk2 throttle body/manifold set up for the sohc

GE unit is really nice too.

GSR TB + GE intake = 400whp D that has a flat torque curve to 8400rpm.

Why not get a different tb?

But yes it should bolt up, all D's had the same head bolt patterns I thought.
