I have a d16y7 block.. planning on dropping a d16z6 head on it, with d16y8 intake mani. I'm wanting to use some kind of boost chip and theres nothing worth a damn for obd2. Also o2 sensors on the cat, and I dont wanna go the o2sim route. Would going to obd1 fix all this? Would I also lose power? Also anyone got a howto or write up link? Thanks.

 

you said that you didn't want a o2 sim. i have a d16y7 that i recently put a tubo on. The O2 simulator from casper electronics has fixed my problem and we have no complaints. It was a 50 dollar miracle for me.

 

you could rewire the 02 sensor.
