OBD1 d16y7 into 89 DX questions

Default OBD1 d16y7 into 89 DX questions

ok so im putting my 97 d16y7 MPFI into my 89 DX DPFI...... ok i need to know what the hell i need to do for it to work

1. ive already ordered the conversion to OBD1 harness from xenocron

2. do i need to use the harness off ot the 89 d15? because there is a little sensor in the back of the cable tranny with this thing that pokes into it with a little clip I THINK its the VSS.... well on the d16y7's hydro tranny there is none of that.... so what do i do

3. i know i have to do the MPFI conversion, anyone have any helpful links? i had them but they all got erased when my computer crashed

4. what else do i need to do?!?!.. someone please help me with any info you have...

The y7 is an OBD2 motor, why bother going to OBD1? Just run a PM6(OBD0) and do the normal MPFI swap. It'll work fine.

As for the tranny, just use your stock cable tranny, it'll be easier...

no the guy that had the motor before me converted the motor to obd1 for some reason..... and yes, im using the cable tranny from the car, not the hydro.... but there are 2 sensors on the cable tranny that dont have plugs on the d16y7 wire harness..... BOTH plugs...... and im going to use a p05? ecu, i cant remember, the ecu is out in storage... but anyone if you have any questions or anything that i might be missing, post it up!

look this is what you do:
convert you factory harness to mpfi
then you get a 88-91 si distributor and injectors,fuel rail
your harness will plug up to the newer motor, but u will need th extend some wires.get you stock ecu chipped or get an 86-89 integra ecu .
and a msd activator.thats it and ur done.
quick,simple to the point.
i did this in my hatch and it runs fine. alot of money saved i think.

so if i just get the d16a6 dizzy.... would i need a P06? or a PM6 ecu??
