Default obd0 1.5 & 1.6 distributor

so i got 2 obd0 distributor for the 88-91 civic, one is for the 1.5 liter and the other is for the 1.6 liter. the 1.5 has only 5 pins in the plug and the 1.6 has 7. is there anyway i can use (splice wires or swap internals?) the 1.6 to fit my 1.5 civic b/c the 1.5 is broken on the part where you adjust it back and forth?

I have done it before but it was only switching computers in it and a coil. Other than that i wouldn't mess around with it unless you had another 1.5
