It's really not needed ona budget set up. If you are tryin to make 250+ then ya cam design will come into play but for the cost it may not be worth it but the si cam is a nice upgrade in a d15 motor and is very cheap. Pretty much a 100 dollar deal with new vc gasket,cam,and gear

? how??anyhow since no one has mentioned it i will, the a6 cam sits in the d15b7 off 1/2 tooth or about 4degs retarded, you can either a.) get an adjustable cam gear to compensate if you dont already have one or b.) if your cheap like me you can find a y7/y8 stock cam gear which will get it closer to "TDC" in that head, NOTE: if you want to get an adjustable cam gear and not have to do math make sure to get a 96-00 cam gear to accomidate the difference
