Default No speedo----HELP!!

Ok i've got a 00' DX, I put a 99 EX motor in it because the old one blew out. With the swap I had to swap ECUs and now my speedometer/tripometer/odometer. I used the same tranny so I would think the speed sensor would still be good. What needs to be checked and how can I check it. The 99 i pulled the motor from was wrecked and my SRS light is on....I dont know how this could cause a problem but if it helps let me know. Also I have an extra plug on my harness next to the ECU but the ECU/Harness are from the same car and thats how it was hooked up before.

I love it how newbies get desperate.. post once about their problems and never return to followup. I guess that is why I'm not going to be doing 2 page writeups for noobs anymore.

Oh well.

Ever heard of time zones? Or.. uhm.. Work? Some people don't have the luxury to be able to access hmt from work or have alot of spare time.

Also I don't give a damn about the speedo. I can judge speed by ear (j/k). But the tags are out and for some reason they want my speedo to work. Ill upload a pic of the cables around my ECU because it doesnt look right to me but maybe it is....also anyone know how to reset the SRS light. I found a post about jumping a connector by the fuse panel.....the instruction said the light should flash, then go off....then there was more to it...but mine never turned off....thanks in advance

did you check to make sure that the extra green plug is pluged in. That is the plug that goes to your instruments. It is next to the ecu plugs just a bit higher. 98ctr

Geez, don't byte my head off.. sorry. Wasn't knocking the guy.

This may sound stupid to you, but is the thing hooked into the right matching coloured harness? Too many of the accessories in the area share the same harness type, I've seen things that were misplugged before. That is why I asked about the CEL, maybe telling you that something else is wrong, thus find that out and your speedo problem is solved.

Also, pull the gear assembly out and inspect it. If it smells burnt or doesn't feel like it's rotating right, could be a bad sensor.
