new motor problems

Default new motor problems

i just put a new motor in and got it running yesterday....it was running great yesterday now today it seems alittle shaky at idle and wants to die its a y7 block with a y8 head it has a turbo and the turbo is going bad cuz oil is coming out of my bov would the extra oil make it run shitty why is it doing this it seems to be leaking oil too im so pissed i did all of that work and now its taking a ---- on me

if oil is comeing out of your bov you have serious problems why would you put a bad turbo on your motor...

thanks...iiiiiits obvious that its a serious problem...but alittle oil isnt bad it runs awesome when i give it gas just idling is shitty

any forien (sp) substance getting into the motor is a bad thing, swap in a good turbo, clean out all the pipes and fix the leaks, and i bet your problem will be gone

still dont see why you'd put on a bad turbo

i wasnt really sure if the turbo was bad it worked well on the other motor i didnt know geezz i was asking you since oil was coming out of the bov was it a bad turbo haha! i figured it was... i have 2 other 14b's now so ill just throw one of those little guys on

dont forget to clean out the IC and all the pipes or your still going to be getting oil in your system

one question how do you manage cleaning out a intercooler...maybe motor cleaner at a carwash?

take it off and i think you can run gas thro it then rinse it out. someone double check that cuz i forgot.. so i mayb waaaay off.
