ull actually feel like ur a part of ur car Seriously, you can't just say "i've spent up to 10 minutes thinking of this one and bail". Good find kyle on the schematic, definately a keeper. Much easier then the hassle of ordering a Hobbs switch from Summit. |
Re:NEED VTEC!!!
hook it up to your high beams ;). i tried that and it worked but i kept blowing bulbs. i ended up getting an rpm switch :P

Re:NEED VTEC!!!
my how ghettro, you could have always just thrown in a realy in the mix, ran it off the highbeams and had that .75 second delay of the relay kickin.

Re:NEED VTEC!!!
this is what i did when i couldn't ge tmy vtec to hook up right on my b16. just go to shucks and spend 2 dollars on a push button switch then run one wire from myou soloniod tot he switch then the other to the fuse box or sum power sorce i ran 12 volts i beleive.. than i just jerry rigged the switch on to my shifter. so i could push it with my thumb... lol

Re:NEED VTEC!!!
i wont buy ---- from schucks im boycotting them...
went to radio shack, scored a nice square push button (non-momentary) switch for $2.49 (w/tax) plus some wire i had and some connectors....oh and lets not forget the electical tape (yeah i taped it ot the shifter :P).... works great, execpt that its completely random when VTEC kicks in cuz i have to hit the ---- manually...but it works... |
Re:NEED VTEC!!! (update....got VTEC :)
that link to the switch is from my site, scarecrowx gave me that one, I have a bunch of other electronics schematics on that site.
dustin that electrical tape is going to suck balls when it gets hot, it will slip off and then you have a sticky shift knob. ever seen those turkey cooker things that have a little button that pops out when the turkey is ready? I taped one of those bad boys onto my shift knob so I could pretend I had NOS. |

Kyle, pm me the link to your site, I wanna see what you have, that rocks that you're collecting that ----.
I actually started out my automotive hobby as wiring ---- up when I was 15.. then I got my first set of tools (still have like 25% of them that haven't been lost/stolen) and now I'm turning wrenches. It seems like all the bass crew has moved into the sport compact scene. Wierd. |
