Default NEED VTEC!!! (update....got VTEC :)

well im going to the track wed with my beater Z6, but still doesnt switch over to VTEC yet (PS9/turboedit thing)...

what is the most ghetto/FREE way to switch over to VTEC...keep in mind i wont spend any money, and i have already spent too much time on this (10minutes).

the VTEC soliniod jsut needs 12v to switch lobes right?

oh and alst but not least...when is the swtich over on a D16Z6

the switch over is whenever you want it son. I'm not sure how many volts the ****** gets, but it's just positive voltage, run a wire with a switch until you can ghetto up something better.

4.8 is a good enough guess for me.

here's an rpm activated switch for you to build:

OMG that's ghetto.

I would just run a switch into the cab. One wire goes to 12v+ and the other to the solenoid.

do you got a shift light on a tach couse that would be better then a toggle switch and your vtec should kick in about 5g.
