why dont you just cross the bridge or field to a poorer county in the US? You do realize United States is one of the richest country in the world yet there are counties that have essentially "third world country" or "developing country"?

Ha ha.

Or just tell your parents to compensate for the overcharged compression checker since it's their fault you live there.

Ever hear of ebay? What about other website that sell parts on the internet? ---- next compression test I need I'm sure it will be purcahsed on ebay.. that's when my current one eats it (I've already lost one autozone compression tester in the past).

Well, i still havent checked my compression, im definetly going to try and do it tomarrow!! But ever since the oil change and the O ring replacement, its been doing pretty good, still burns oil, but not as much?? If its the valve seals, then im getting a new head soon, so ill just put all new gaskets on it!

Let ya'll know, i live in the poorest county in the world, and my prices are well umm not cheap! haha JK

I think your rings are shot I have a d16y7 same engine with less then a 150k on it and they are fried I burn two quarts of 20-50 a week and it doesn't matter if I drive it nice or not all the same symtoms sorry but sounds to me like you will be doing a rebuild or a swap quick.

Yea ill see, i got 2 other blocks, and im working on, ill see whats up with this one!!! If my compression is bad, that would most likely mean that the rings are shot?

If you review how to perform a compression check then you'll know how to determine rings or other.

Warm the engine up first. Take out all the spark plugs. Block the throttle open. Disconnect the distributor or coil. Wear safety glasses. Attach tester to first plug, let it turn a good 4 times over (at least). If rings are bad then usually you get a very slow rise. Squirt some oil down the cylinder and if the compression perks right up then you know exactly what's up.

Don't forget to disconnect your injector plugs first. If you don't it will be squirting gas into the cylinder and your numbers will be a little lower. Mine went up 10-15 psi when I did that.
