I have a 88 civic dx hatch. I have a MpFi intake manifold and fule rail, and i am going to do the dp to mpfi swap. i am planning on buying a d16y8 vtec head. an di had a few questions about it.

Would a d16z6 vtec solenoid fit on that head?

Would i need a distributor for vtec and/or Mpfi?

if i had a d16y8 head, could i use a ECU from a 1996-2000 EX and make everything work? or would i be better off rewiriing the dx ecu?

no, it wont work, the head bolts dont line up with that combination

 

you've got ALOT of research to do regarding OBD0, OBD1, and OBD2. You're nowhere near in the knowledge to tackle this project.
