Re:MPFI swap: Fast idle valve?
One thing I ran across was I had injectors 2 and 4 mixed up. You're supposed to run 2 wires from ecu harness pins A3 and A7 into the engine comp't. It said to run one wire red and one wire yellow, which I did. The wires at a3 and 7 are also 1 red one yellow. I then ran yellow to yellow (#4injector) and red to red which was the #2 injector. This was wrong and they were mixed up and it barely started after much trouble and missed bad. Make sure your wire from Ecu pin A3 goes to the # 2 injector and the A7 wire goes to the #4 injector. I switched the wires around and it started right up and ran good. The colors tricked me. Also did you reverse the TPS wires? I'm new to all this hybrid swap stuff but worked as a mechanic for a few years so I can try to help. I'll be glad to help with what I can. I still need a shorter throttle cable and the mounting bracket that goes on the intake before I can drive mine. Have to wait til Sat. to go to the junkyard. i got info from : www.angelfire.com/d20/hcivic88/dx-siwiring.html
