it would make things a little easier i would think. i have never done a mount swap. from my experiences with motor swaps, i would think it would be easier. maybe not take it all the way out, just enough to work with the mounts.

No, you definitly don't have to take out the engine to change the mounts. I just took out one of the polyurethane bushing things from each mount and it took like ten minutes. Just do one at a time and jack the engine a little from underneath with a jack.

dont waste your money on new mounts.

if yours are still together you can urethane them to add strength and get rid of the movement.
I urethaned mine and you can deffinately tell that the engine transfers more vibrations to the car but its not too terrible.

the motor doesnt have to come out, the hardest mount is the rear and its not even that hard. Just use a jack to move the motor so you can line the holes back up

Fill em with 3M Windoweld. I have some, but haven't done them yet. I'll be doing them when I swap in the new engine pretty soon.

go to your hardware store and get some black polyeurethane and fill the mounts. even if it is torn, it will work better than stock.
you can do one mount at a time if you have to drive your car. the tubes were 3-5 bucks at lowe's out here.
