mini me vtec switch (msd)
my vtec is not kicking in. i have been doing some research online, and using a msd rpm activated switch. i am also using the standard automotive relay that they ask for (with the 86, 30, 87 and 85 plugs). for some reason the vtec is not being engaged. can someone who has already did this swap successfully tell me what wires go where? thanks, matt

Re:mini me vtec switch (msd)
i wired up the msd switch, put in the pills, and wired it up, according to online. i put the test light between the vtec solinoid and the wire going to it. i was just wondering if anyone knows how to wire up the solinoid and msd rpm switch, so i can use it as a reference, and see if i did it right.

Re:mini me vtec switch (msd)
i put the test light between the vtec solinoid and the wire coming off of the solinoid. i didnt get the summit racing vtec swtich because i had the msd one laying around, plus a bunch of spare pills. this thing is such a headache, i may end up getting a vtec controller

Re:mini me vtec switch (msd)
check the solenoid, use a jumper wire stright from the battery to the green yellow wire on the solenoid (its the only wire) you should hear a clicking noise. do it with the car off so you can hear better if you hear the click check you wire for the msd rpm activator
