Default msd rpm switch for vtec

got my rpm switch today....it has a power wire, ground wire, tach reference wire, then a positive output wire and a negative output wire, my question is, the vtec solenoid needs to see power to come on right? not a ground? in which case i would run the positive output wire to the vtec solenoid correct?

correct, the VTEC solenoid needs to see a 12v (+) signal to make the switch
