got a d15b7 block with z6 head do i need to time the thing at tdc or at the z6 head timing mark they are different, need to know looked everywhere, thanks

 

the cam timing will be 1/2 tooth of due to the shorter deck height of the D15 block. You will need a adjustable cam gear OR yet to be tested a Y8 cam gear.

For 96+ Honda indexed the cam gears 5 degrees different from the 88-95 stamp steel cam gears.

Ideally you should use the D15Z1 marks, if you look behind the cam gear you see P08 markings.
