Just stick it in? I've never used clips.

Mine doesn't want to stay in even with the clip, so I just get down as far as it'll go in the drive and zip tie the cable to a hose to keep it in place.

18 gauge wire. strip the covering off it, twist it up. stick the cable in, then twist the wire around the sensor in the groove.

im confused with my speedo cable also. managed to save a crx from the crusher. problem is that its pretty much bare. the yard threw a running motor in there but barely hooked ---- up. never really had much experience with an actual cable instead of the sensor thats in the newer cars. cable isnt hooked up, found were it looks like it should go but the speedo still doesnt work. haynes manual is much help and i can buy a replacement cable from parts stores or even the dealer.

anybody care to shed some light on the subject. what the cable should look like(to make sure that its still intact).
